In this unforgettable novel, Quinn Sullivan falls for the recipient of her boyfriend’s donated heart. Printz Award winner John Corey Whaley calls it “not just a love story, but one with a ferocious pulse.”After Quinn’s boyfriend, Trent, dies in an accident their junior year, she reaches out to the recipients of his donated organs in hopes of picking up the fragments of her now-unrecognizable life. But whoever received Trent’s heart has chosen to remain silent. The essence of a person, Quinn has always believed, is in the heart. If she finds Trent’s, then in a way, she will still have a piece of him.
Risking everything to get closure once and for all, Quinn goes outside the system to track down nineteen-year-old Colton Thomas, whose life has been forever changed by this priceless gift. But what starts as an accidental run-in quickly develops into something more, sparking an undeniable attraction. She doesn’t want to give in to it—especially since he has no idea how they’re connected—but the time Quinn spends with Colton makes her feel alive again. No matter how hard she’s falling for Colton, though, each beat of his heart reminds her of all she’s lost . . . and all that remains at stake.
Perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen, this unique and emotional story about an unexpected bond between two strangers will leave no heart untouched.

An ARC of this title was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts are my own. This review can also be found at The Starry-Eyed Revue.I've seen a premise like this before, in a Lurlene McDaniel book I read when I was like, ten. Except in Someone Dies, Someone Lives, the main character was the one being saved by an organ transplant and trying to get back to life as usual, not the potential love interest. Maybe it's because I read such tragic stories like that when ILittle victories, they're the ones that counts. This was such a heartwarming book. I enjoyed the romance (even though I wished it was a bit more slow burn), I liked the MC's grandmother (such a diva!) and older sister. It was a story of grief and guilt. Moving on and falling in love again. It was sweet and sad and inspirational sometimes. But it was also quite cheesy. A bit too much for me. While I enjoyed reading this book, it was sadly nothing special in the contemporary genre for me.Quotes:
Cute! Enjoyable, but definitely over-shadowed by the PHENOMENAL books I read earlier in the week.

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to HarperCollins and Edelweiss.) Four hundred days and too many heartbeats to count.Four hundred days and too many places and moments where Trent no longer exists. This was an okay story, but it felt quite average, which is odd considering what its about.I felt quite sorry for Quinn, she obviously really missed Trent, and losing him so suddenly was really difficult for her. I understood the way she wanted
I have been in such a terrible roll of contemporary suck-fest lately. Usually, its the genre I run to whenever I feel the tell-tale bump of a reading slump coming on. The last couple of tries left me feeling disillusioned, and wondering what I ever liked in the genre to begin with. And then this book came long.Things We Know By Heart is a thought-provoking book about a persons willingness to cross a line for the sake of closure. Truthfully, Ive never even given a thought to what I would do in

Imagine, I've only read a few pages of this novel and my eyes were starting to water already. My little brother was even giving me a bewildered look as he saw me wipe my tears away with the back of my hand. Le brother: What's up with you? Me: This book... this book is... it's just so sad...!Le
There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.Michael Nolan What a beautiful, quick read! I liked it but didn't love it, though. It's one of those books that you'll adore while reading but will forget in the long run. But it's a perfect summer read!P.S. Colton was really adorable. ALL THE FEELS Review to follow.
